Art has always been a big part of my life, and doing makeup is just an extension of my artistic abilities. During high school I attended a Fine Arts school once a week, which is where I was introduced to the drama department. I loved seeing the makeup really bring people to life on stage, and from there I started doing makeup on anyone who would allow me to.
After studying art for two years at The University of West Georgia, I realized I wanted to pursue a career as a makeup artist. Before being formally trained as a makeup artist I would do makeup for friend’s weddings and costume makeup for friends at different conventions in and around the Atlanta area.
In spring of 2014 I attended school at Studio Crush School of Makeup. It was an extensive eight week program that taught me not only makeup application, but also what to expect on different types of photo shoot sets, set etiquette, and how to communicate with a client. After graduating from school, I started shadowing makeup artist Erica Bogart, who has been a wonderful influence and has helped me grow even more in my abilities.
